A WEEK in LONDON

BYE BYE Cambridge! HELLO London!

Waiting, waiting.....British trains and train stations are pretty grubby.......

A couple hours later and we've found a city oasis.
This is a GREAT hotel! Centrally located, homey, small street, and the internet works! I'm back in 2017!

Evening Rain and St Martins in the Fields

Trafalgar Square and the Admiral Horatio Nelson Statue
And people, people, people, people, people!

'England expects that every man will do his duty'

In 1805 Nelson was killed by a French sniper while leading the attack on the combined French and Spanish fleet. His body was preserved in brandy and transported back to England where he was given a state funeral.

I'm looking forward to a quiet night sleep, sans brandy, and a fresh start tomorrow.
